Where
the term “original” pops up on many
comedian’s resumes, for Isaac Witty, it’s
the real deal.
Born with a comedy-ready name, Isaac Witty began
his comedy career at a very early age. As a kid,
he began touring with his parents who
made their living doing Christian sketch comedy
in churches across the country. At 16, Isaac first
tried his hand at performing stand-up at a
church talent show.
At 20, Isaac took to the comedy clubs, honing
his material and performance chops in his hometown
of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This effort paid off handsomely
when he won the Tulsa "Comedy Central Laugh
Off."
In 1999 he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he
became a full time road comic, working A-room
comedy clubs across the country. There, he
broadened his resume by hosting a local TV program,
The Big Bad Movie, for two years.
Isaac has developed a style all his own—fast-paced,
absurd, clean and all over the place—he's
the real deal.
In 2003, he made his network television debut
on The Late Show with David Letterman,
was invited to the prestigious Just For Laughs
Comedy Festival in Montreal, and performed on
National Public Radio’s hit show A Prairie
Home Companion. Isaac has also appeared at
the Chicago Comedy Festival and made his Comedy
Central debut on Premium Blend.
These days, Isaac bounces from club, to college,
to corporate event, keeping everyone entertained.
And yes, Witty is his real last name.
